Celebrate Solstice! Join local author Irene Pieza for an intergenerational storytime. Irene will read her new book, “Once Upon a Wintertide: A Wild Solstice Tradition”.
Everyone aged 9 to 99 is invited to this virtual workshop where Irene will read the story that tells of the annual wintertide gathering of a group of owls. Attendees can just watch if they wish but a list of questions provides an opportunity for participants to look and listen to each other, share their stories and learn from each other… which leads to a discussion of ingenuity, creativity, generosity, and introspection.
Participants can pick up a kit (while supplies last) prior to the event which includes information on the owl species, winter solstice traditions, and an owl and moon craft.
