THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO INSTRUCTOR ILLNESS.
Do you love Minecraft? Are you looking to develop your skills and learn the basics of coding and engineering? Minecraft Code Red teaches coding and engineering principles to students in grades 3 – 8 through Redstone projects and contraptions.
In this Minecraft workshop, you’ll learn to use Redstone blocks to make secret doors, item sorters, daylight detectors, and more, all without any mods to the game. While working on your creations, you’ll also learn how hardware circuits work, showing off how these devices – like Redstone – rely on logic gates. If you want to get started on your secret mountain lair, or see what’s actually happening behind the scenes when you flip a switch, join us for an afternoon in Minecraft Code Red!
This program is limited to ten participants in grades 3 – 8. Please note: This event requires at least three attendees to run. If fewer than three participants have registered within 48 hours of the event, it will be postponed and participants will be notified via email. Registration opens 30 days before the start of the event.
