ABOUT THE BOOK
A farm girl turned American heiress, global high-society darling, and confidante of presidents; the story of Marjorie Merriweather Post becomes a fascinating new novel through the accomplished pen of Garrison author Allison Pataki.

Marjorie Merriweather Post’s journey began gluing cereal boxes in her father’s Michigan barn, little knowing that she would inherit C. W. Post’s Cereal Company that would grow into the General Foods empire and reshape the American way of life. Not content to stay in her prescribed roles of high-society wife, mother, and hostess, Marjorie made history; before turning thirty she was worth millions, becoming the wealthiest woman in the United States. And yet her story, full of beauty and grandeur and set in palatial homes such as Mar-a-Lago, was equally marked by challenge and tumult. Her four husbands included a blue-blooded but bedeviled party boy, a charismatic financier whose charm turned to betrayal, an international diplomat with a dark side, and a bon vivant whose shocking secrets would shake Marjorie and all of society.
