THIS PROGRAM WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 3 BUT HAS BEEN MOVED DUE TO FORECASTED INCLEMENT WEATHER.
The Desmond-Fish Public Library and local educator Jackie Grant will host a Tinkergarten Lantern Walk on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 4pm at the library. This magical free event is geared toward children ages 18 months to 8 years old and their families. The Tinkergarten Lantern Walk has become a special tradition around the country. It is designed to help kids, big and small, welcome the darkness of winter and learn to embrace this natural change together with joy. The walk will begin with an outdoor circle gathering where songs will be sung about special nature friends. It will culminate with a procession around the library’s new trail. Simple lanterns will be provided for all children.
The lantern walk is free for all. However, registration is required at tinkergarten.com/lantern. Should there be a need for a rain date, registered participants will be contacted. Please join us!
