6:00 pm - What to Know About Online Privacy and Your Data – POSTPONED

October 4, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Your personal data –– your demographic information, shopping habits, political preference, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, health conditions, close relationships, past purchases, etc. –– is being collected, analyzed, and commodified by corporations from the moment you reach for your phone in the morning until the moment you close your laptop at night. In this Digital Literacy Series workshop, learn how, why, and when your data is accessed, what you need to know to protect yourself from misuse of that data, and what steps you can take to protect as much of your private information as possible, as well as tips and tricks for securing and monitoring your privacy online.

This event did not receive the minimum number of registrations, and has been postponed until further notice.

This event requires at least four attendees to run. If fewer than four participants register, the event will be postponed.
