4:00 pm - Year of the Sword: WWI Assyrian History and Genocide – Rescheduled Holocaust Remembrance Day event

The Philipstown Reform Synagogue invites the community to this rescheduled event to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Kathy Yacoe, will give a talk and presentation exploring the history and religious perspective of Assyrian people and events leading up to the WWI Genocide.
In 2017 Ms. Yacoe was given a Yonkers Arts Initiative Grant from Arts Westchester to work with the Assyrian Community of Yonkers to produce an exhibit of the documented work reflecting the genocide, subsequent diaspora, and establishment of the Assyrian community in Yonkers.
