Library of Things
Library of Things
The Library currently offers a variety of “Things” for Philipstown residents to check out in addition to our traditional print and media collections.
The majority of items in the Library of Things can be checked out for either one or two weeks at a time and are eligible for up to two renewals if another patron is not waiting on the item. Items in this collection are subject to overdue fines of $1.00/day and a replacement fee covering the full cost of the item (as well as a freeze placed on the borrower’s account) if it is not returned within two weeks of its due date. A Loan Agreement must be signed upon check out, and the item must be returned in person at the Library’s circulation desk. Items may not be returned through the outside book drop nor to any other library.
See our available Things below or browse our Library of Things catalog.
While not available to check out for home use, the Innovation & Learning Center has a wide selection of makerspace equipment and software for use by all patrons, either in ILC programs or by appointment.
