Using the Program Room for public programs
Proposing a program as a partner organization
The library often partners with community organizations and nonprofits to host public programs that will be beneficial to the community. If your organization wishes to partner with the library on a public program, please complete this form. Approval of the program depends on calendar availability, library policies, and the discretion of library staff and the library services committee. Please refer to our programming policy for more details.
Proposing a program as a presenter
If you are a performer, educator, lecturer, author, or other similar professional who would like to offer your services to the community as a library program, please complete this form. Approval of programs with outside presenters is dependent on calendar availability, library policies, the library’s budget, and discretion of the library staff and the library services committee. Please refer to our programming policy for more details.

Using the Program Room for private meetings and events
The Program Room is available for use by individuals and established non-profit organizations as a community meeting space as well as a concert and exhibit space.
Availability is on a limited, first-come, first-serve basis and subject to the capacity of library resources or personnel. Approval of the use of the space is dependent on calendar availability, library policies, and the discretion of library staff and the library services committee.
Each group using the Program Room outside of Library Hours will be charged a daily utility fee of $50 and $35/hour for staffing.

Using the upstairs small meeting spaces
The Library offers several spaces for use by individuals and other community organizations, including two small reading rooms on the upper floor. These rooms can be reserved ahead of time by calling the library or speaking to someone at the front desk, or emailing staff@desmondfishlibrary.org.
Using the Program Room as a gallery space
The downstairs program space of the library can occasionally be used as a gallery or exhibit space. More information about the rules and parameters of using the room as a gallery space can be found in our programming policy. If you wish to use the downstairs program room as a gallery or exhibit space, please complete this form. Use of the room for gallery space is approved based on library policies, calendar availability, and the discretion of library staff and the library services committee.
