International Observe the Moon Event

October 14, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On Thursday, October 14th, the Desmond-Fish Public Library invites young and old alike to take a moment to observe the moon from the Library lawn.

In an early celebration of International Observe the Moon Night, Jack Chastain from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association will be on the lawn with his giant telescope all set up to help everyone take a look and to share his knowledge of what you are seeing.

You are welcome to bring your own telescope or binoculars to add to the fun or for some help in learning how to use it.  This is always a very fun event not to be missed!  And don’t forget to take your own photo of the moon through the telescope with your cell phone… everyone will be impressed with your photography skills!
